Frequently asked questions about Signet
Before you scan your first book.
From Open Library, the Internet Archive's open catalogue. Signet combines the record of the exact edition (pages, publisher, cover) with the catalogue search (author names). Every record links back to its Open Library page.
Search by title or author, type the ISBN, or fill in the record by hand. An incomplete record (no page count or no cover) can be completed at any time. Without an image, Signet sets a typographic cover.
No. There's no account, no ads and no tracking. Everything is stored on the iPhone.
Not yet: the library lives on the phone. CSV export lets you keep a copy and import it back.
No. Export your library as CSV from Goodreads or StoryGraph, then import the file in Signet's settings. Titles, authors, ratings, statuses and dates come along; missing covers are filled in afterwards.
Not yet — Signet's interface is in French for now. Records come from Open Library in the book's own language.
