Signet has no account, no ads and no tracking. Your library stays on your iPhone; the publisher collects no data.
1. Your library
Books, statuses, pages, ratings, reviews, quotes and shelves are stored only on your device (SwiftData). A summary of the current read (title, progress, cover thumbnail) is copied into the app's shared space for the widget, also local.
2. What goes over the network
To fill in a record, Signet sends the scanned ISBN or your search to Open Library (openlibrary.org) and, as a fallback for some French books, to the BnF catalogue (catalogue.bnf.fr). No personal data comes with these requests. Covers are downloaded from Open Library and kept on the iPhone.
3. Camera
The camera is used only to read barcodes. No image is saved or sent.
4. Notifications
Only if you turn on the daily reminder. They are scheduled on the iPhone, with no server.
5. Import and export
CSV files you import or export stay under your control (Files app, sharing). Signet sends them nowhere.
6. This website
This site uses Google Analytics only if you accept it in the cookie banner. The support form opens your mail app: nothing is stored on the site.
